Numbers 11:4-35; Proverbs 9:1-18; 1 Peter 1:1-25
Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? Matthew 26:53
Let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. Matthew 27:42
It is only as we meditate on the cross that we begin to grasp a little of the Lord’s love for us. It was not the nails which held Him there! No, it was His eternal love for us. More than 72,000 angels were at His disposal, plus His own power as the Christ of God, to simply come down and go free. But His love for you and me kept Him there so He could finish the work He came to do. —David Croudace
He could have called ten thousand angels,
But He died alone, for you and me. —Ray Overholt
