Genesis 35:1-29; Psalms 7:1-8:9; Matthew 19:16-20:16

And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient. 2 Timothy 2:24
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. 1 Thessalonians 5:15

Our lives often bring us into high pressure, high stress conditions. We sometimes rub shoulders with contentious, rude and impatient people. The temptation to retaliate is real, even for the believer. But whether it is behind a desk or behind the wheel of a car or even in the home, being gentle and patient to all reflects the attitude of our Master. —Sid Halsband

Though devils all the world should fill, all eager to devour us,
We tremble not, we fear no ill: they shall not overpow’r us.  —Martin Luther
