Exodus 6:14-7:25; Psalm 37:1-40; Acts 2:22-47
O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, Until these calamities have passed by. I will cry out to God Most High, To God who performs all things for me. Psalm 57:1-2 NKJV
Your little room or your special chair may be your cave just now as the storms are passing by. David’s thoughts went higher than the protection the rock walls his cave afforded him. He envisioned himself sheltered beneath protective wings. Perhaps, he inherited the comforting metaphor from his great grandparents (Ruth 2:12). Nothing had
changed outside the cave that night, but beneath those wings, David was able to “awaken the dawn” (v. 8) with the music that flowed from his steadfast heart as he worshiped his God. —Peter Ramsay

Keep me safe, till the storm passes by. —Mosie Lister
