Exodus 38:1-31; Psalms 90:1-91:16; Acts 22:22-23:11

God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6 NKJV

Do you recall the moment when your heart was illuminated? Darkness. Then light! God burst in upon your soul; yes, God Himself, in the radiance of His Son Jesus Christ, shone into our hearts. But my heart was never meant to be a mere receptacle of such glorious light. Today, is my heart a closed container, or an open and active diffuser emitting the light to others of such a wonderful and life-transforming knowledge? —Peter Ramsay

There is sunshine in my soul today,
More glorious and bright,
Than glows in any earthly sky,
For Jesus is my light. —Eliza E. Hewitt
