Judges 3:5-31; Isaiah 24:1-23; 1 Corinthians 3:1-23
For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing. 1 Thessalonians 1:8
Paul’s praise for the Thessalonian believers included telling them that they were essentially putting him out of work. Their well-known witness to the salvation of God was so wide spread, that the entire Grecian peninsula was being reached with the Gospel. They had embraced their own missionary responsibilities in their own land, and this became a model for evangelism. May we each do the same where we live.
