Genesis 18:1-33; Job 21:1-34; Matthew 10:1-23

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 NKJV

Many read this verse and think of physical death, but the phrase “shadow of death” also has other connotations. Besides physical death, it also could mean moments of dark isolation, sadness, or fear. Perhaps you are lonely today, feeling adrift on a sea of great sadness. Fear not. The Shepherd is with you. Jesus walked alone through a valley we will never comprehend, and He understands our sorrow. Turn your eyes to Him, and know that you are never
alone as you travel through the valley. —Alyssa Gee

Fear not, loved one; hear My comfort: none can pluck you from My hand.
Trust Me, loved one; I am constant, none can change what I have planned.
