Numbers 3:1-51; Psalms 148:1-150:6; Mark 13:1-37

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NKJV

Christians have the comfort of the Spirit and the comfort of the Scriptures. We also have the comfort of the saints which, as we learn in this verse, also comes from the God of all comfort. He comforts us, not so we may be comfortable, but that we may be equipped and prepared to comfort others. There is no comfort in telling others what we’ve been through, but rather showing them the comfort of God that brought us through. —Rex Trogdon

Whate’er I do, where’er I be,
Still ‘tis God’s hand that leadeth me. —Joseph H. Gilmore
