Deuteronomy 23:9-24:22; Jonah 1:1-2:10; Luke 12:41-59

Your eyes will see the King in His beauty. Isaiah 33:17 NKJV

“When the soul beholds beauty, it grows wings.” So writes one who urges us to lift up our eyes from the “small and sordid things” at our feet and to train our minds to behold, to pause, to consider deeply, to gaze intently, to saturate our souls by contemplating any one of the many splendored graces of our Lord Jesus and His creation. Then we can join with the psalmist in unceasing praise. —Marilyn MacMullen

He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell,
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.  —C. F. Alexande
