Ezra 9:1-15; Daniel 10:1-21; Revelation 5:1-14
Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter in law…and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there. Genesis 11:31
Be careful where you settle. God calls us into a personal relationship with Him, but often we hang on to our old life, causing us to fall short of God’s promises for us. Terah had to die for Abram to move forward, but Lot still travelled along. We can carry along baggage that hinders our spiritual walk too—as Lot eventually proved to be. Happy is the
Christian who leaves the old life behind and follows God unhindered by distraction. Can that be said of us? Lord make it so today! —Deborah Manera
