For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Prayer can be hard, especially during trials. This is not surprising considering God’s thoughts and ways are higher than our own (Isa. 55:8-9). Yet when words fail, God still understands. He knows our hearts and He knows the mind of the indwelling Spirit who assists us by conforming our prayers to God’s will.
