DAILY READINGS: Exodus 36; Psalm 89:1-18; Acts 21:17-40

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 1 Corinthians 12:3

To say that Jesus was anathema (accursed) was to accuse Him of being a blasphemer and an impostor. It meant that He was under the curse of God and bringing down the judgement of God on Himself. Thus the battle lines of opposing spiritual forces were drawn. It was either anathema or Lord! The Lordship of Jesus is a fundamental doctrine of apostolic teaching. It marks the beginning of a believer's life. Our confession that He is Lord gives proof of salvation (Rom. 10:9) and should manifest itself in our actions. —Drew Craig

He is Lord, He is Lord, He is risen from the dead and He is Lord,
Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.—Author Unknown
