Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. Matthew 6:19-20
For one of our children’s outreach programmes we had an auction where their bidding power was dependent on their behaviour and effort throughout the year. The values they placed on various items were quite amazing. An $18 basketball sold for $4 while a small 50 cent chocolate bar sold for $1. So often I am poor in evaluating things too, rating earthly values higher than eternal values. May the Lord give us His perspective today, to value only those things which He also cherishes. —J.
