J.M. Davies was born near Llandilo, South Wales, in 1895. He professed faith in Christ at the age of 15 years. He emigrated to the USA in 1914 and entered the Moody Bible Institute in 1915, from which he graduated in 1917. In 1920, together with his wife, Barbara, he left to serve the Lord in Kerala Stat, South India. For many years, he preached the gospel and taught the Scriputres extensively throughout the area, leaving India in 1962. He also ministered God’s Word in the UK, the Middle East, USA and Canada. His wife died in 1968 and upon his remarriage, in his advanced years, he and his wife Sarah resided in Vancouver, B.C., and were in fellowship in the local assembly until he was called home in 1990 at the age of 95 years.
