John Maxted was born in Hamilton, Ontario in 1926. He was inducted into the Canadian army in 1945. After the war he attended the Ontario College of Art in Toronto where he met his wife Margaret Caldwell. They were married in 1948. In that same year he became the Art Director of Russell T. Kelley Ltd., in Hamilton. It was there that he met Tom Dear, a Christian and teacher of God’s Word. Though a “church boy” in one of the denominations all his life, Jack had never heard the wonderful truths that Tom taught. Since then, John has been going on for the Lord and attending various assemblies in Ottawa and Markham. He has been writing Christian Bible expositions all his life but didn’t start publishing his writing until 1990. At present he lives in a seniors home in Markham and is still writing and publishing.
