Dr. Hywel R. Jones

Dr. Hywel R. Jones became Professor of Practical theology at Westminster Seminary, California, in 200. Prior to that he was Editorial Director of the Banner of Truth Trust and Principal of London Theological Seminary from 1985-1996. He was a pastor at Grove Chapel, London and Borrus Park in Wrehyam. He and his wife, Nansi, were married in 1961 and blessed with three children and five grandchildren. He is the author of A Study  Commentary on Job, also published by EP.

Martyn Lloyd-Jones

Martyn Lloyd-Jones (1899-1981), minister of Westminster Chapel in London for 30 years, was one of the foremost preachers of his day. His many books have brought profound spiritual encouragement to millions around the world.

Gary Inrig

Gary Inrig is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and Dallas Theological Seminary. Dr. Inrig is pastor of Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Redlands, California, and has written several other books, including True North, The Parables, Whole Marriage in a Broken World, and Forgiveness.

Dr. Richard L. Strauss

Dr. Richard L. Strauss was senior pastor of Emmanuel Faith Community Church in Escondido, California for 21 years. He holds degrees from Wheaton College and Dallas Theological Seminary, and has pastored churches in Fort Worth, Texas, and Huntsville, Alabama. Dr. Strauss loved God and enjoyed studying His Word. He spent hours each week pouring over the Bible, allowing the Holy Spirit to teach him so that he could teach others. Through his sermons, books, and tapes, Dr. Strauss made God’s eternal message relevant to thousands of people worldwide. He had a special gift for making the Bible come alive in a practical way.

F.W. Grant

F.W. Grant (1834-1902) was converted as a young man through reading the scriptures for himself, he was famed for his knowledge of scripture and his dedication to a lifetime’s study of the word of God enabled him to leave behind an invaluable legacy of written material, including the much esteemed Numerical Bible. He went to be with his Lord on his sixty-eighth birthday.

C. W. Slemming

C. W. Slemming was converted in 1919 and served for 11 years in the pastorate, but realized that the Lord had graciously given him the gift of Bible teaching. In 1946 he left the local church ministry to join the staff of Bible Testimony Fellowship, which involved traveling throughout Britain conducting weeks of Bible studies. He was later appointed directorof BTF. In 1949 he made the first of seven visits to the USA for a Bible teaching tour. During this period he charted every book of the Bible and wrote a commentary entitled The Bible Digest, receiveing a doctorate of divinity for his work. In 1974 he was called home to glory.

Alva J. McClain

Dr. McClain, who was the founding president of Grace Theological Seminary, was a member of the Scofield Reference Bible Revision Committee and a charter member of the Evangelical Theological Society.

Christopher J. H. Wright

Christopher J. H. Wright (Ph.D., Cambridge) was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. His doctorate is in Old Testament ethics. He taught Old Testament in India for five years (1983-1988) at Union Biblical Seminary, and then returned to the faculty of All Nations Christian College, a missionary training school in England, where he was principal from 1993-2001. Wright is now the international director of the Langham Partnership International (known in the United States as John Stott Ministries), providing literature, scholarships and preaching training for pastors in Majority World churches and seminaries.

James Strong

James Strong (1822–94), LL.D., S.T.D., graduated from Wesleyan University and served as professor of biblical literature at Troy University and later as professor of exegetical theology at Drew Theological Seminary. Dr. Strong was the author of numerous works, including his famous Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible.

Guy H. King

A clergyman of the Church of England, Guy H. King was greatly beloved in the parishes he served, and by a much wider circle of evangelical Christians of all denominations. A diligent Bible student, his gift of opening the Word to the person in the pew was greatly appreciated by adults & children at the renowned Keswick Convention. His weekly Bible studies as Christ Church, Beckenham (where he served as vicar for 21 years until his death in 1956), enjoyed a large attendance, including many from other churches. His several books are based these expositions.
