Mal Couch

Mal Couch (Th.M., Dallas Theological Seminary, Th.D., Lousiana Baptist Seminary) is founder and president of Tyndale Theological Seminary and Biblical Institute in Fort Worth, Texas. He previously taught at Philadelphia College of the Bible, Moody Bible Institute, and Dallas Theological Seminary.

Watchman Nee

Watchman Nee (1903-1972) was a noted Chinese Bible teacher and Christian leader. He began his preaching ministry while still a university student. From 1923 to 1950 Nee founded 200 churches. Starting as small groups meeting in rented houses, these self-supporting congregations became strong spiritually and grew rapidly, continuing to develop after China’s Cultural Revolution. Nee was arrested in 1952 and found guilty of false charges; he was imprisoned until his death in 1972. Nee concentrated on deepening spiritual life through intensive training in the Word of God. His rich spoken ministry influenced many lives.

David Winter

David Winter is a former head of religious broadcasting at the BBC and an honorary canon of Christ Church, Oxford. His books for Lion include The Nation’s Favorite Prayersand The Espresso Bible.

C. H. Spurgeon

C. H. Spurgeon (1834-1892) was the first minister of the Metropolitan Tabernacle, Elephant & Castle, London. He is known as the ‘Prince of Preachers’. Through the working of the Holy Spirit in his life and ministry, his down-to-earth preaching touched the lives of countless men and women, both during his life and to the present day. His love of the Scriptures is evident in everything he wrote. Thousands of his sermons are in print and he is known, not least, for his popular books of daily readings, such asMorning & Evening.

Dr. Stephen Olford

Dr. Stephen Olford (1918-2004) was an internationally recognized preacher, evangelist, and author of numerous books. His ministry spanned more than 60 years, including pastorates at Duke Street Baptist Church in England (1953-1973). In 1980 he launched the institute for Biblical Preaching in Memphis, TN.

Sandra Glahn

Sandra Glahn is one of only five female professors at Dallas Theological Seminary where she also serves as the editor-in-chief of DTS’s award-winning magazine, Kindred Spirit. She holds a master of theology degree from DTS and is pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Texas at Dallas. Sandra is author or co-author of ten nonfiction titles and four fiction works, including the Christy mystery/suspense finalist and CBA bestselling medical thriller, Lethal Harvest. For more than a decade, Sandra wrote and taught her church’s Bible studies for women.

Ronald Allen

Ronald Allen (ThM, ThD, Dallas Theological Seminary) is Professor of Old Testament at Dallas Theological Seminary and the author of numerous books and articles.

George Matheson

George Matheson (1842-1906) was born in Scotland, and although he lost much of his eyesight early in life, he nevertheless earned two degrees from the University of Glasgow. Despite his handicap, Matheson carried out a full range of pastoral duties, and his gifted imagination and ability to communicate attracted an overflow congregation. He is also remembered for a number of theological works, devotional volumes, and hymns, including the well-known “O Love That Will Not Let Me Go.”
