These notes were originally delivered to a group of young people in a Bible Class conducted by Alan Summers. In this study the focus centres upon the subject of “The Church”.
To most people the church is a building with a spire and possibly a graveyard. Or it may mean a religious organisation with headquarters and a leader. But the Bible does not support either of these meanings.
In the New Testament the word church is used as a collective expression covering all Christians from the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2 to the return of Christ or a gathering of Christians in a locality.
These notes are designed for teenagers and young people and give more information than a basic booklet but are not detailed treatments of the sort designed for the adult market.
