The following paper is from the larger edition of Mr. Samuel Ridout’s book, “The Church and its Order According to Scripture,” now out of print.
I these days of confusion in the professing church, honest souls are genuinely perplexed as to the Scriptural path for their Church testimony. Among those gathered to the Lord outside the Camp, several voices are raised and divergent views are presented, with apparent Scripture backing, which increase the perplexity in regards to the relationships of the local gatherings to each other and the Church as a whole.
