The Lord From Heaven
Sir Robert Anderson Classic Library Series
By: Sir Robert Anderson
Almost a century has passed since this classic work was written by Sir Robert Anderson. Yet the controversy still rages over the same subject, “Is Jesus really God?” Despite all of the evidence that He is Divine Lord, the critics still spew their venom and the skeptics still pen their doubts. The initial conditions which prompted the writing of this book still exist…those who believe need new assurance for their faith, and the honest seeker for truth needs answers to his questions.
All who read this book will come away with a deeper appreciation for the Lord who bought them. For to realize what the Lord Jesus gaveup, when Heaven was “robbed” of His prescence, will cause all of us to fall on our spiritual knees and cry out, “My Lord and my God.” ~from the Publisher’s Preface
Sir Robert Anderson (1841-1918) was converted to Christ at the age of nineteen and almost immediately began to preach to his native Dublin where he trained at Trinity College for the leaga profession. He became a respected member of the Irish Home Office and an expert on criminal investigation. In 1888, he was summoned to Scotland Yard in London to serve as chief of the Criminal Investigation Department, an office he filled with distinction until his retirement in 1896. In addition to his many duties with Scotland Yard, he also preached at various Bible conferences and wrote seventeen books.
