Notes on Galatians
By: John Ritchie
This classic reprint of John Ritchie’s own work is written in his “easy to read” style for which he became well known in his day, and is evident in this work which seemed to flow easily from his pen, but no doubt must have been the result of many hours of careful study.
This letter to the “churches of Galatia” had a clear and unambiguous message to combat the serious error of preaching a corrupt gospal. This same defence has had resonance down through Church history and is an essential message for this present day. There is much more to the book than helpful outline and all ages will benefit from a careful consideration of its pages particularly Paul’s desire to defend the Purity of the gospel.
John Ritchie (1857-1930) was a well known and much loved preacher and teacher among the Lord’s people especially in Scotland, although his ministry took him throughout the UK. He was a prolific writer of books, pamphlets, and tracts on many subjects; he edited several magazines for young and old, among them The Believer’s Magazine; he founded the publishing house in Kilmarnock which bears his name. He has a shepherd heart and a special interest in helping young believers.
