The Romans Road: Welcome
The way to heaven from the Book of Romans in the Word of God.
1. A recommendation by the Apostle Paul, who knew this road very well:
“I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek” (Romans 1:16).
2. A word of caution:
“Despisest thou the riches of His goodness and forbearance and long-suffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” (Romans 2:4).
“Repentance” literally means a change of mind, and if one is headed the wrong way (knowingly or not), it also implies a change of course or direction.
3. The real road hazard:
“All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
4. God’s great salvation solution:
“God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
5. Choice and consequences:
“The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
6. God wants you to be saved and sure:
“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10).
7. God makes it simple to be saved:
“Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).
