I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifi ce, holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1
Sadly, there is a growing trend among Christians today, to be satisfi
ed by spending an hour or so at “church” on Sunday morning.
Many believe this fulfi lls their religious obligations. This practice
has been termed “spectator worship”. But the Bible uses such terms
as, “living sacrifi ce” and “bondservant” to describe our total commitment
and dedication to our Lord and his service. May we be
active participants in His work seven days a week, for this is our
