DAILY READINGS: 2 Kings 2; Jeremiah 35; Hebrews 7
With God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26b
Without faith it is impossible to please God (Heb 11:6) It is also not
possible that the blood of bulls and of goats could take away our sins
(Heb. 10:4). Thus, the Lord Jesus came to do God’s will (Heb. 10:7). In
Gethsemane, He prayed, “O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup
pass from Me” (Mt. 26:39). But it was impossible for God to spare His
Son and He delivered Him up for us all (Rom. 8:32). When He died,
it was impossible for God to allow His Son to be held in death’s
power, so He raised Him to life (Acts 2:23, 24). With this, God assures
us of our eternal hope in Him, and it is impossible for God to lie (Heb.
6:17, 18). Trust Him. —K. C. Ung
