Wherefore….stir up the gift of God, which is in thee. 2 Timothy 1:6
The brilliant musician, Mozart, has inspired many music lovers. At
age five he wrote an advanced concerto and at 12, composed and conducted
his own opera. Mozart lived in poverty and died in obscurity
at age 35. Yet many of his 600 works live on. Very few are born with
the same genius. God is the One who bestows gifts and may multiply
them as he sees fit. May we live and use our gifts and talents so our
works follow us, and that we hear the Lord’s “Well done, good and
faithful servant.” (Matt.25:23). —E. Dyck
Give of your best to the Master, naught else is worthy of His love,
He gave Himself for your ransom, gave up the glory above,
Laid down His life without murmur, you from sin’s ruin to save,
Give Him your heart’s adoration, give Him the best that you have.—J. Grose
