For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle (tent) were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 Corinthians 5:1
Two contrasting dwellings are mentioned here. One is earthly and temporary, easily taken down; one is heavenly, a spiritual and permanent structure. The tent is a picture of our earthly body, slowly in the process of fading. But the apostle asserts that a blessed state of existence awaits us when our earthly body fully fails. The dissolution of the body will not deprive the soul and spirit of an existence and a home. And at His return, with resurrected and living bodies, we will all share His likeness eternally. —Drew Craig

We’ll see Him, serve Him, praise Him ever and His endless glories share.
