Physically speaking an enlarged heart is a serious condition—even life threatening. In dramatic contrast, however, a spiritually enlarged heart is something we should seek after. If God “broadens” our love for Him and His dear people, as well as the lost, then we can ask Him to “broaden” our sphere of influence for His honour and glory.
