Exodus 16:1-36; Psalm 52:1-54:7; Acts 9:1-31

So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.” 2 Kings 4:2 NKJV

A prophet’s widow had a crippling debt and a jar of oil was her only asset. Elisha told her to borrow vessels and bring them into her house. She poured oil from the jar until all the containers were full and she sold the oil to pay off her debt. The magnitude of the miracle depended on the widow’s faithfulness to use what she
had and her faith to borrow what she needed. The more she gathered the greater her blessing. Little in our hands is immeasurable in God’s, if only we will trust Him with what we have.—W. A. H.
