Exodus 18:1-27; Psalms 56:1-57:11; Acts 10:1-23
O Lord my God…listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You…toward the place where You said You would put Your name. 2 Chronicles 6:19-20 NKJV
Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. John 16:23 NKJV
In the Old Testament, the temple was where the Lord put His name. Prayers directed toward that place were heard and answered. In the New Testament it is not a place, but a Person. Jesus said, “In this place is one greater than the temple” (Matt. 12:6). Pray in His name. The Father will hear and answer. —Rex Trogdon
O Lord, wher-e’er Thy people meet,
There they behold Thy mercy seat:
Wher-e’er they seek Thee, Thou art found,
And ev’ry place is hallowed ground. —Author Unknown
