Deuteronomy 28:1-37; Amos 3:1-4:13; Luke 14:1-24

So the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float. 2 Kings 6:6 NKJV

During the construction of a new residence for the prophets, a loose axe head flew into the river. The worker told Elisha that the tool had been loaned. Elisha threw a stick into the water and the iron floated to the surface for retrieval. We might think this to be a little miracle in comparison to others God performs. Actually, nothing in God’s creation is harder for Him to control than anything else; He holds all things together (Col. 1:16-17). God is not in any way limited in managing His creation—He is God. —W. Great God of wonders! All Thy ways display Thine attributes divine;
But the bright glories of Thy grace above Thine other wonders shine.   —Samuel Davies
