1 Samuel 3:1-21; Isaiah 46:1-13; 2 Corinthians 6:11-7:16

Now the Lord called to Moses, and spoke to him from the tabernacle of meeting. Leviticus 1:1 NKJV

At the age of five, a promising Jewish lad would begin his Torah studies. Guess where he began? Leviticus! How many of us have stalled in our Bible reading when we reach this book? And yet it contains more direct words of God than any other book. The title in Hebrews means, “And He called.” Here the Lord God called
to His people to come near, to worship, to sacrifice, to be holy. This book was spoken, not from the fiery mountain of Law-giving, but from the middle of their camp where God was dwelling. How much more reason do we have to draw near this day, to boldly approach the throne of grace. —M. MacMullen

Come, Christians, join to sing—Alleluia! Amen!
