2 Kings 6:24-7:20; Jeremiah 41:1-42:6; Hebrews 10:19-39

That ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore. Joshua 3:4

Our responsibility as believers is to move forward in holiness into the heavenly places in Christ. God is with us and His choice of leaders, like Joshua, is for our blessing. Crossing Jordan was the end of wilderness living for Israel—the beginning of new life in the promised land. In our lives as Christians, this marks the end of self-effort and the beginning of life lived on the principles of faith and obedience. Go forward! We dare not linger or enjoy sin’s pleasure. God’s plans for us are in the promised land of fellowship and joy with Him. —G. C. G.

Faith seeks a rock, immovable, unchanging,
On which to build the fortress of its strength.  —Josephine Johnson
