Genesis 41:50-42:38; Psalm 19:1-14; Matthew 24:29-51

Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Peter 1:16
That soul shall be cut off from his people. Leviticus 7:20-21, 27

The Old Testament laws may seem very severe to us, but they were given so that God’s people would realize that they serve the Creator, the Almighty God and that He is holy. In light of this we should not come into His presence casually, without reverence and holiness. May we, by the Spirit, develop a holy fear of God that is so lacking in our world today, so that we may glorify Him who is worthy. —M. Robins

Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy name, in earth, and sky, and sea,
Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and Mighty!
God in three persons, blessed trinity. —Reginald Heber
