Jesus…Son of God. Matthew 8:29 NKJV
These four titles indicate heritage and prospect. As the Son of David, He is the heir, the One who will sit on the throne of David forever. As the Son of Abraham, He is the seed who will fulfill the promises made to Abraham about the land. As the Son of Man, He is the One who will restore what was lost due to sin, thus the heir to this world. As Son of God, He is the heir of all things. And, wonder of wonders, we are joint heirs with Christ. —Gary McBride
