Deuteronomy 25:1-26:15; Jonah 3:1-4:11; Luke 13:1-21
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. Romans 7:20
It was D. L. Moody who said, “I have more trouble with D. L. Moody than with any other man I know.” The fact that we as believers sin at times does not mean that we are not saved. Although on conversion the Holy Spirit immediately indwells us, the old nature— the old Adam—still resides in us as well. This means the believer is in a constant battle to do what is right and to please the Lord. However, never forget that the Holy Spirit will always succeed if we let Him. One day, in glory, there will be no more trials and temptations. Praise the Lord! —Brian Russell
If I rightly read Thy heart, if Thou all compassion art,
Bow Thine ear, in mercy bow, pardon and accept me now. —Charles Wesley
