DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 13:33 to 14:31; Jer. 24-25; Col. 2:8 to 3:4

And the glory of the LORD came into the house by the way of the
gate whose prospect is toward the east. Ezekiel 43:4
So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and,
behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house. Ezekiel 43:5
And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man
stood by me. Ezekiel 43:6

What makes the gatherings of saints so uniquely appealing? The
singing? The praying? The preaching? The fellowship? For all of the
blessing of these things, no assembly is really an assembly if the glory
of God isn’t foremost. Rather than enhancing, anything which distracts
from God’s glory is superfluous and harmful. —Rick Morse

O fix our earnest gaze, so wholly, Lord, on Thee,
That with Thy beauty occupied, we elsewhere none may see.—Anon.

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 13:1-32; Jeremiah 23; Colossians 1:21 to 2:7

Those that be planted in the house of the LORD….shall bring forth fruit in old age. Psalm 92:13,14

Many years had passed since seeing those present at a cousins’ 80th birthday. It was disheartening to see a vibrant step replaced by a walker and another in a wheelchair, but the spirit kept strong. Vance Havner wrote, “The body we got from old Adam is disintegrating and some of them look unsightly before they are laid away". Perhaps we need these earthly struggles and tears so we more deeply long for the eternal City. There the new body will be unhampered by the ravages of time. May the Spirit move us to eagerly await the “joy forever more” when we see our Saviour face to face. —E. Dyck

What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see,
When I look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace.—J.H.

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 12; Jeremiah 21-22; Colossians 1:1-20

And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper? Genesis 4:9

God asked, “Where is Abel thy brother?” But Cain was a murderer and refused to accept his responsibility towards his brother. God observes how we treat our brothers. He calls us to help in keeping one another. We are to watch for each other’s souls: to consider one another; to provoke to good works; to bear one another’s burden; to convert the wanderer from the path of the destroyer; and to wash one another’s feet. Cain asked, “Am I my brothers keeper?” The answer is yes, but the sad story is instead of keeping him he destroyed him. Are we touching the lives of our brother? —Milton Haack

Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is love and His Gospel is grace. —P. Cappeau

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 11; Jeremiah 19-20; Philippians 4:2-23

Behold My servant…in whom My soul delighteth. Isaiah 42:1

Jehovah has had a multitude of choice servants. Abraham and Moses, David and Job, Peter and Paul, James and John, and a host of others, have all served Him faithfully and well. But when He says, “Behold My servant,” every believer knows that there is only one Servant whom Jehovah would have us contemplate. There is but one Servant who did the will of God perfectly. “My servant in whom My soul delighteth” can be none other than the Servant-Son, our Lord Jesus. —Jim Flanigan

The vow was on Thee—Thou dids’t come
To yield Thyself to death;
And consecration marked Thy path,
And spoke in every breath. —Macleod Wylie

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 10; Jeremiah 18; Philippians 3 to 4:1

O give thanks unto the Lord for He is good: for His mercy endureth forever. Psalm 136:1

Every verse in this psalm assures us that God’s mercy endures forever. The stress and strain of life often brings us to a place where we wonder if we can go on. At those moments it is good to be reminded again that His mercy endures forever and that our brief moment of need is well within His infinite ability to carry us through. He is always there, always available, always loving, always caring. Our God is good. His mercy endures forever. —L. Tempest

He gives more grace when the burdens grow greater.
He sends more strength when the labours increase,
To added affliction He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace. —Annie Johnson Flint

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 9; Jeremiah 17; Philippians 2:12-30

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved). Ephesians 2:5

The Bible study had been on grace, but the behaviour of the young people rude. My husband concluded the study earlier than usual and announced he would be taking the teenagers home. “Shall I prepare supper?” I asked, to which my husband replied, “Yes”. One of the girls involved turned to our younger daughter and whispered that they did not deserve any supper. Our daughter replied, “That’s what grace is—getting what you don’t deserve.” —J. Fleming

Grace is what God did for me when Jesus set me free;
Mercy what He spared me from, when Christ bore the wrath for me;
Peace, God’s wondrous gift He gave, it brought me liberty;
Mercy, grace and peace, all three, obtained through Calvary.—J. F.

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 8:31-66; Jer. 16; Philippians 1:21 to 2:11

Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow servant, even as I had pity on thee? Matthew 18:32-33

When I am struggling with a spirit of unforgiveness, I am actually struggling to view myself as God sees me—instead of seeing myself as forgiven, I see myself as innocent. In this disillusioned state, I risk making much of little—exaggerating the wrong done against me. Let us forgive as we have been forgiven. —Jason Bechtel

Remember Christ, our Saviour,
Who paid the debts you owed,
To God the Heavenly Father,
And to you mercy showed. —Robert. E. Smith

Welcome to Gospel Folio Press Ministries

John 3:16 was the verse that William J. Pell began with when he started printing on a hand press in his mother’s parlor  in 1922.
This was the humble beginning of Gospel Folio Press Ministries.
Will Pell began to print the monthly gospel paper, WORDS OF PEACE  and assumed he would never print literature with more than one fold
(a “folio” is a piece of paper folded one), so he named his company
“Gospel Folio Press”

In 1939, Will was compelled to create a daily devotional calendar.
The calendar (initially named The Remembrancer) launched in1940,
“The Choice Gleanings“
became a popular daily meditation
for many Christians.

Today Gospel Folio Press distributes more than 60,000 calendars world wide.

Around 1925, Gospel Folio Press began printing Sunday School papers.
In 1995-98 with the input of Sunday School Teachers and Superintendents the curriculum was revised and updated to meet the need of teaching others of all ages in a Clear, Concise and Consecutive manner.

Today we have the curriculum
“Line Upon Line Modular Bible Lessons”

This is a great resource material for Sunday School Teachers, Bible Study Groups & everyone who wants to gain knowledge of God’s Word

Gospel Folio Press continues to distribute Gospel Tracts just like William Pell along with Christian Books, Bibles, Commentaries, Sunday School Material, Hymn Books, Daily Devotionals

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 8:1-30; Jeremiah 15; Philippians 1:1-20

For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Colossians 2:9

God the Father used the virgin Mary to prepare a human body for God the Son (Heb. 10:5). At His birth, the Son possessed His body. He did not enter that body in some token or temporary presence. Rather, the fullness of the Godhead has abided in that body ever since. And so it shall be eternally. In that body, glorified, the full and total presence of the Godhead will be manifested eternally. In that body He died, He saves, He will judge, and He will embrace His bride! He is perfect God and perfect Man. —Doug Kazen

Thou art the everlasting Word; the Father’s only Son.
God, manifestly seen and heard; and heaven’s beloved One. —J. Conder

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 7; Jeremiah 14; Ephesians 6:10-24

And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged [subsided]. Genesis 8:1

God was waiting on His time to work, but I wonder if Noah felt forgotten as he wondered and waited? But the man of patience faithfully persevered. Always rest on His faithfulness, no matter how dark or distressing your situation may be. “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for He is faithful that promised” (Hebrews 10:23). —Jim Comte

Back of the clouds, the sun is always shining,
After the storms, your skies will all be blue;
God has prepared a rosy, tinted lining,
Back of the clouds, He’s waiting to shine through. —C. R. F.
