DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 8:31-66; Jer. 16; Philippians 1:21 to 2:11

Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow servant, even as I had pity on thee? Matthew 18:32-33

When I am struggling with a spirit of unforgiveness, I am actually struggling to view myself as God sees me—instead of seeing myself as forgiven, I see myself as innocent. In this disillusioned state, I risk making much of little—exaggerating the wrong done against me. Let us forgive as we have been forgiven. —Jason Bechtel

Remember Christ, our Saviour,
Who paid the debts you owed,
To God the Heavenly Father,
And to you mercy showed. —Robert. E. Smith

Welcome to Gospel Folio Press Ministries

John 3:16 was the verse that William J. Pell began with when he started printing on a hand press in his mother’s parlor  in 1922.
This was the humble beginning of Gospel Folio Press Ministries.
Will Pell began to print the monthly gospel paper, WORDS OF PEACE  and assumed he would never print literature with more than one fold
(a “folio” is a piece of paper folded one), so he named his company
“Gospel Folio Press”

In 1939, Will was compelled to create a daily devotional calendar.
The calendar (initially named The Remembrancer) launched in1940,
“The Choice Gleanings“
became a popular daily meditation
for many Christians.

Today Gospel Folio Press distributes more than 60,000 calendars world wide.

Around 1925, Gospel Folio Press began printing Sunday School papers.
In 1995-98 with the input of Sunday School Teachers and Superintendents the curriculum was revised and updated to meet the need of teaching others of all ages in a Clear, Concise and Consecutive manner.

Today we have the curriculum
“Line Upon Line Modular Bible Lessons”

This is a great resource material for Sunday School Teachers, Bible Study Groups & everyone who wants to gain knowledge of God’s Word

Gospel Folio Press continues to distribute Gospel Tracts just like William Pell along with Christian Books, Bibles, Commentaries, Sunday School Material, Hymn Books, Daily Devotionals
and  publish Christian Literature.

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 8:1-30; Jeremiah 15; Philippians 1:1-20

For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Colossians 2:9

God the Father used the virgin Mary to prepare a human body for God the Son (Heb. 10:5). At His birth, the Son possessed His body. He did not enter that body in some token or temporary presence. Rather, the fullness of the Godhead has abided in that body ever since. And so it shall be eternally. In that body, glorified, the full and total presence of the Godhead will be manifested eternally. In that body He died, He saves, He will judge, and He will embrace His bride! He is perfect God and perfect Man. —Doug Kazen

Thou art the everlasting Word; the Father’s only Son.
God, manifestly seen and heard; and heaven’s beloved One. —J. Conder

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 7; Jeremiah 14; Ephesians 6:10-24

And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged [subsided]. Genesis 8:1

God was waiting on His time to work, but I wonder if Noah felt forgotten as he wondered and waited? But the man of patience faithfully persevered. Always rest on His faithfulness, no matter how dark or distressing your situation may be. “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for He is faithful that promised” (Hebrews 10:23). —Jim Comte

Back of the clouds, the sun is always shining,
After the storms, your skies will all be blue;
God has prepared a rosy, tinted lining,
Back of the clouds, He’s waiting to shine through. —C. R. F.

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 6; Jeremiah 13; Ephesians 5:22 to 6:9

Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Psalms 85:10

In worldly affairs, standards of righteousness may be compromised in order to achieve a settlement of a problem. Such procedures can produce only a very flimsy foundation for peace and stability. We however, praise God that in His scheme of salvation there is no lowering of His standards of absolute integrity. Such is the value of the atoning work of the Lord Jesus that every demand is fully answered, and the flood-gates of His mercy righteously dispense their rich bounty! —G. Hall

Mercy and truth unite: O ‘tis a wondrous sight—all sights above!
Jesus the curse sustained, guilt’s bitter cup He drains,
Nothing for us remains: nothing but love! —Thomas Kelly

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 4-5; Jeremiah 12; Ephesians 5:1-21

 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

"Man ties children to a palm tree, as worst cyclone in a decade hits Bangladesh", was the headline on Canada’s “National Post” on November 20, 2007. It was a storm “like a hundred demons” and killed 3,000 people. But it was deprived of the lives of two children ages five and thirteen. They had been tied to a tree when the winds of 240 km per hour struck the coast. In His Father’s will, the Lord Jesus was nailed to Calvary’s cross, not to save Himself from the fury of an offended God, but to save us from it, and to pay the price for our sins.— Arnot McIntee

Cross of Jesus, cross of sorrow, where the blood of Christ was shed,
Perfect Man on thee did suffer, perfect God on thee has bled!—W. J. Sparrow

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 3; Jeremiah 11; Ephesians 4:17-32

Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. Proverbs 27:1

A roadside sign outside the English village of Wingham had two letters missing. The letters “r” and “v” had been knocked off. The sign read “D-i-e Carefully” instead of “Drive Carefully”! So many people rush about with busy lives. How wise to stop for a moment to think about the end of life and to prepare to die. Dear reader, die carefully! Die knowing Christ as Saviour. Die with sins forgiven. I hope you will give this some thought—carefully. —Brian Powlesland

Hasten sinner to be wise! Stay not for the morrow’s sun;
Wisdom, if you still despise, harder is it to be won.
Hasten, mercy to implore! Stay not for the morrow’s sun;
Lest thy season should be o’er, ere this evening’s stage be run. —T. Scott

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 2; Jeremiah 10; Ephesians 4:1-16

Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4

On the cross the Lord Jesus bore our sins in His own body. Our whole sinful case and condition was taken up into His Person and was brought to an end in His death. This great work was completed at His resurrection. On confession of Jesus as Lord we formally surrender our life of sin, and rise in the strength of His resurrection to newness of life. Thereafter, though sin is not eradicated, we have the assurance that “sin shall not have dominion over us”. —Drew Craig

I am resolved to follow the Saviour, faithful and true each day;
Heed what He sayeth; do what He willeth; He is the living Way.—Palmer Hartsough

DAILY READINGS: 1 Kings 1; Jeremiah 9; Ephesians 3

For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son. Romans 8:29a

There is a story about an American soldier who was stationed in England after World War II. Driving to his barracks, he saw a young boy staring at some delicious pastries in a bakery window. He stopped and asked, “Son, would you like one of those?” “Yes,” the lad said, “I sure would!” The soldier bought some sweets and gave them to the boy. As he walked away, he felt a tug at his coat and heard the youngster ask, “Mister, are you God?” In our sad, broken world what a tremendous need there is for believers who manifest something of God’s character by the way they live. —W. Ross Rainey

Oh! to be like Him, tender and kind, gentle in spirit, lowly in mind;
More like Jesus, day after day, fill’d with His Spirit, now and always.—Ellsworth

DAILY READINGS: 2 Samuel 24; Jeremiah 8; Ephesians 2:11-22

For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. 2 Corinthians 7:5

Paul faced great conflict. As he sought to advance the Gospel, he encountered opposition from without. At times it was ridicule (Acts17:32); at other times it was life-threatening (Acts 23:12). He also encountered opposition from within. As he sought to mature every man in Christ, he feared they would be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. This was the work of false teachers who targeted those not established in the faith. As we gather, it is not for a social occasion, but to equip ourselves for the work of God. —Mark Kolchin

Rise up, O men of God! Have done with lesser things.
Give heart and mind and soul and strength, to serve the King of kings.—W.P.M.
