Roy Littleproud was born in Ontario, Canada in 1889. In 1927, Mr. Littleproud began a Saturday evening Bible study in his home every other week for some of the young men in his assembly.  These meetings grew and continued for 14 years.  Mr. Littleproud was also involved in the editing of Sunday School material which was later incorporated into the Modular Bible Lessons produced by Gospel Folio Press.

David Kirk was commended to full-time work in Nova Scotia. His gospel preaching in those early days was blessed of God. Souls were saved, God’s people edified and assemblies formed.

James G. McCarthy is the founder and director of Good News for Catholics, Inc. A former missionary to Ireland, Jim is best known for producing and directing the popular video Catholicism: Crisis of Faith. He is the author of The Gospel According to Rome, a fully documented analysis of Roman Catholicism keyed to the recently released Catechism of the Catholic Church.

David Anderson-Berry, MD, LLD, FRS, entered Glasgow University as a law student, but soon changed to medicine, studying at Edinburgh under Lord Kelvin among others. Further studies took him to France and Germany. He commenced practice in London and continued in medicine there for several decades. Saved as a youth, he was vigorous in Christian work, and was known as an able teacher of the Word of God, often being invited to speak at Bible conferences. He was a frequent contributor to The Witness magazine and authored several books, including The Seven Cries from the Cross and After Death, What?

Lee W. Brainard has, for more than 20 years, unsparingly given himself to the study of the Holy Scriptures. He is convinced that a dispensational understanding of the Bible is essential to understanding the Bible, grasping the true nature of Christianity, and guarding against many of the errors of the day. With his wife Nita and four children, Lee presently resides in northern Wisconsin where he is involved in a writing and preaching ministry.

George Bristow has served in overseas missionary work since 1987, where he and his wife, Donna, are involved primarily in a church planting ministry. They have four children. Before leaving for missionary service, George practiced as a professional architect.

John Martin was raised among the Old Order Mennonites in southwestern Ontario. There he learned about thrift, hard work, and ingenuity. These skills would stand him in good stead in that close-knit community for the rest of his life. Or so he thought. One day he discovered God’s way of salvation. It was not by clean living and hard work; it was by the perfect life and finished work of God’s only Son. It was a discovery that would have far-reaching repercussions. His conversion would cause consternation in the village. His baptism, with some others, would gather a thousand to the riverside. His preaching cut a wide swath across the ripening fields of Ontario, gathering golden sheaves in the harvest.

Leonard Sheldrake was a Brethren preacher, author and editor. He was born in England in 1885. His immediate family were not religious, but after the death of his father he came into contact with family members who were Baptist, and was himself baptised. He moved to Canada in 1905 beginning his association with the Brethren through the Broadview assembly in Toronto. Moving to Winnipeg, he abandoned his job in 1911 to devote himself to full-time ministry. He married Ada Pearl Clapp and they moved to America in 1913 where he began writing gospel tracts. He came into contact with William J. Pell who set up the Gospel Folio Press to produce these and other evangelical literature. He also produced three books: The Other Side of the Wall and Tabernacle Types and Shadows. He died on May 8, 1952.

H.G. Mackay was born and raised in Galt, Ontario by godly parents. As a young man interested in sports and making his way in the business world, the Spirit of God brought him to repentance. Almost immediately, he “nailed his colors to the mast”.  Heading to North Carolina in 1928 with the man who led him to Christ, Mr. Mackay began a lifetime of fruitful labor, primarily in the southeastern states. This is his story. From the back hills of Appalachia to the bustling work at Greensboro, by preaching and by pen, in bright days and dark times, to saint and sinner, the author lifted up Christ to untold thousands.

John W. Bramhall was born in Sheffield, England on April 23, 1899. With his parents, he migrated to the U.S. in 1911, where they settled in Rochester, New York. He was saved by God’s grace in February 1914 through the ministry of the late Harold Harper. Called to the pioneer work of the Lord in 1934, Mr. Bramhall laboured in South Carolina for a decade before the Lord broadened the sphere of his minitry to inclue Canada, the U.S., and the West Indies.
