Description
The New Age Movement: A Cunningly Devised Fable
By: Paul Young
The impetus for this booklet came with the request for information on the New Age Movement from Trans World Radio. T.W.R. have seven transmitting sites around the world, as many studios and offices. They are solely devoted to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ as revealed through the Word of God: the Holy Bible.
The New Age Movement has no single, centralized organization, committee or council controlling all doctrines, activities or agenda. Marilyn Ferguson terms it “a leaderless but powerful network”. Roy Livesey writes that “It is not a bureaucracy or an organization but a network of social and spiritual movements. Each is self-sufficient. Not one of them is essential to the whole, but the New Age movement is becoming an evident source of potential power. The network is much greater than the sum of its parts.” Therefore it is difficult to define with anything other that generalized statements.
Paul Young, the author of this book, is a full-time Christian worker living in South Wales. He has also written Wonderful Treasure (1985), Cunningly Devised Fables (1987), The Epistle of Jude (1989), Abraham & Isaac (1990).
