DAILY?READINGS: 2 Samuel 4-5; Micah 7; Romans 12

And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.  Exodus 3:14

God, the “I AM”, is both self-existent and self-sufficient. He needs nothing to be everything that He intrinsically is. He is complete in Himself. Knowing this, it is a wonder that He who does not need us, instead wants us! He desires us to be with Him for eternity to such an extent that He spared not His Son from the unparalleled suffering of the cross. The One who had everything, gave His best for earth’s worst. Through His grace, we are complete in Him (Col. 2:10) and possess every spiritual blessing (Eph. 1:3). —K. R. Keyser

Of all the gifts thy love bestows, thou Giver of all good,
Not heaven itself a richer knows, than the Redeemer’s blood. —W. Cowper
