It is challenging to stand still in a moving world, to sit still in an exciting world, and to be still in a restless world. The art of meditation is lost to activity. Yet, there is a blessing for each discipline. Stand still—and see the salvation of the Lord (Ex. 14:13). Sit still—and listen to what God will do (Ruth 3:18). Be still—and know that I am God (Ps. 46:19). Today, find a quiet place and enjoy the stillness of His presence. —Rex Trogdon
