Numbers 3:1-51; Psalms 148:1-150:6; Mark 13:1-37

How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? Genesis 39:9

We live in an age of celebrity, an era of personality, where character is sacrificed and considered valueless. Joseph, in the Old Testament, knew that integrity was important to God and when Potiphar’s wife tried to entice him he lost his coat but kept his character. He refused to compromise his principles, even under the greatest pressure, and is held up as a great testimony of faithfulness to God. He risked his status, his occupation, his freedom and even his life to maintain righteous living before God. Are we prepared to do the same? —Paul Young

For sin and Satan daily strive to quench the sacred flame. —J. Newton
