If I forget thee, O Jerusalem…If I do not remember thee…let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth. Psalm 137:5-6
The Jews in captivity in Babylon would rather have their speech silenced than to forget Jerusalem. Later when Jesus entered Jerusalem in triumph His disciples welcomed Him with “Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord…” The Pharisees asked the Lord to silence them. He replied, “…if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out” (Luke 19:38, 40). Today you are the living stones (1 Peter 2:5) remembering the Lord. Are you silent or “crying” out to praise Him? —K. C. Ung
Praise the Saviour, ye who know Him!
Who can tell how much we owe Him?
Gladly let us render to Him, all we are and have. —Thomas Kelly
