For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11
The Lord does not hold back His grace. He is our sun, our guiding light, as this world increasingly descends into darkness. He is our shield against the fiery darts of the devil. He empowers us to increasingly have victory over sin and teaches us in trials to rise above our circumstances. When we reach heaven, He will give us glory, completing our salvation. Christ in us, help for today and the hope of glory. —George Ferrier
