Exodus 8:1-32; Psalms 38:1-39:13; Acts 3:1-26

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil… Psalm 23:4

It was an amazing experience to sit with my mother during the last days of her life. She clearly understood that she would soon be with the Lord whom she had loved and served for over sixty years. During those final days and then hours I talked with her and prayed and through it all I never saw a flicker of fear, uncertainty or doubt. She knew that to leave the body would transform her into the Lord’s presence. She certainly lived out the truth of our verse because as the shadow of death engulfed her she knew no evil. She had no sense of danger because she experienced the Lord’s presence. Strangely, I found it a privilege to see her die so well. —Paul Young

Then He’ll call me some day, to my home far away,
Where His glory forever I’ll share. —George Bennard
