Peter reminds us in this verse that to revisit spiritual ground that has been traveled over before should never be avoided. Circumstances change as do world conditions and to regularly review the truth found in God’s timeless Word will reveal new and helpful applications for the need at hand. It will strengthen those already established in the faith and firmly plant the next generation to continue in His Word and walk in His ways. —Mark Kolchin
