John Davis

John Davis, Th.D., D.D., is president/professor emeritus at Grace College and Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana.  He was a translator for the NIV and contributed to its study edition.  Davis has authored a number of books and articles and has served as a senior staff member on 12 archeological expeditions to Israel and Jordan.

Thomas Bentley

Born in Belfast in 1924 and saved at age eleven, Thomas Bentley arrived in Malaysia in 1957 to serve the Lord. He contributed extensively in writing to various assembly magazines and authored the commentary on the epistle to the Colossians in the What The Bible Teaches commentary series.

John Walvoord

John Walvoord (Th.B., Th.M., Th.D.), former president of Dallas Theological Seminary and editor of Bibliotheca Sacra, America’s oldest theological quarterly, was recognized as one of the leading evangelical theologians in America and an authority on systematic theology and eschatology. His academic background and extensive travel in the Middle East made him unusually capable of preparing theological and eschatological studies. He authored numerous books on theology and biblical prophecy.

Edward Dennett

Edward Dennett was born in the Isle of Wight, 1831, at Bembridge, and died in Croydon in October 1914 after a short illness. His people were all in the Church of England, but he was converted as a lad through the instrumentality of a godly clergyman, and he left the church from conviction and became minister of a Baptist Chapel in Greenwich, having previously matriculated at London University. Mr. Dennett had the pen of a ready writer. His sphere of labour was England, Ireland, and Scotland, and he paid visits to Norway, Sweden, and America. He had pastoral and teaching gifts of a high order.

Robert Haldane

Robert Haldane (1764-1842) studied at Edinburgh University and was converted after brief careers in the British navy and as a successful landscape gardener. In 1795 he sold his estate in order to fund mission work in India. Due to opposition from the East India Company, this project was abandoned, and the funds were used for establishing preaching stations and theological seminaries in Scotland. Haldane spent three years teaching in Geneva where he influenced numerous leaders in the French and Swiss church. His lectures to students on the epistle to the Romans were later published as the present Commentary on Romans. His other works included Evidences and Authority of Divine Revelation.

August Van Ryn

Many have learned and grown under the teaching of August Van Ryn during his lifetime of service to the Lord. Born in the Netherlands in 1890, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior when he was 20. In 1915 he began full-time Christian service, first in gospel tent work in Michigan and then in the Bahamas for 14 years. Fearing the permanent loss of his eyesight, he memorized all of the New Testament and large portions of the Old Testament. Mr. Van Ryn traveled extensively throughout his lifetime laboring for the Lord.

M. R. DeHaan

M. R. De Haan (1891-1965) spoke to millions of listeners each week for twenty-seven years on the Radio Bible Class. His academic training included a degree from Hope College, a medical degree from the University of Illinois Medical College, and further study at Western Theological Seminary. He was the author of more than twenty books and countless daily devotionals in Our Daily Bread, published by RBC Ministries of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Stephen Hulshizer

Steve earned his B.S. and MBA degrees at Drexel University evening college. He spent twenty years in industry in various engineering and management positions before being commended to the Lord’s work full time in 1983. Local assembly responsibilities, platform ministry, and writing are his primary ministries. He has written or contributed to four other books currently available, and is the editor of Milk & Honey, a small paper being distributed amongst the assemblies in the U.S.

Herbert Lockyer, Sr.

Herbert Lockyer, Sr. (1886-1984) was born in London, England.  e was educated there and in Glasgow, Scotland and was honoured by Northwestern Evangelical Seminary with a Doctor of Divinity Degree in 1937.  His varied pulpit ministry included 25 years of pastorates in Scotland and England, 10 years of a lecturing ministry in the United States under the auspices of the Moody Bible Institute, and 15 years of Bible conference speaking in the United States and Canada.  As a prolific writer with unusual expository gifts, Herbert Lockyer wrote more than fifty nooks, including his famous “All” series of Bible study and reference works.

David M. Levy

David M. Levy served as a pastor for more than 10 years before joining The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry in 1974, where he serves as director of International Ministries and associate editor ofIsrael My Glory magazine, which features his expositional articles in each issue.
