All our lives, we are encouraged to “bear down”, “work harder”, or “give it the old college try.” Through these and other inspirational adages, we are urged to make something happen by ourselves without the help of others. But in the school of God, there is another route to achieve spiritual victory, but it requires faith,
trust, and whole-hearted dependence upon the Lord. It is simply more of Him and less of us. Whatever your challenge is today, be sure to lean on Him. —M. Kolchin
