DAILY?READINGS: 1 Chronicles 21; Ezekiel 20:1-44; John 7:12-30

Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me, are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts.  Isaiah 8:18

Quoted by the writer of Hebrews (2:13), we learn from comparing both passages that our Lord calls us brethren for a specific purpose. We rightfully may enjoy the benefits of such intimacy but we equally must be faithful to fulfill the intention of it and that is to be a testimony to His saving grace. This is a great day we live in, with the message of eternal salvation under our stewardship, and a world of lost souls that need it. Time to go to work! —Rick Morse

We have heard the joyful sound: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Spread the tidings all around: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Bear the news to every land, climb the steeps and cross the waves;
Onward! ‘Tis our Lord’s command; Jesus saves! Jesus saves! —P. J. Owen
