DAILY?READINGS: 2 Chronicles 16-17; Ezekiel 37; John 15:1-16

I give unto them eternal life: and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of My hand. My Father, who gave them Me, is greater than all: no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand. John 10:28-29

Oh how precious are the “hands” of our Father and His Son. In these verses the Lord assures us we have eternal life and we shall never perish. This safety is a double work of Father and Son. We are safe in our Saviour’s hand and in His Father’s hand too. The end result of this is rendered in a double negative in the original, “They shall never no never perish!” How thankful we should be for the hands that bear the marks of Calvary and keep us eternally secure. —Dave Spearing

There, by His love overshadowed, sweetly my soul shall rest. —F. J. Crosby
