Exodus 21:1-36; Psalms 62:1-63:11; Acts 11:19-30

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

One day a Christian said to John Moore, the beloved writer of the hymn Burdens Are Lifted At Calvary, “Why don’t you write a hymn and call it, “Burdens Are Given At Calvary”? Mr. Moore, smiled and declined the offer. He acknowledged, however, that the Lord does burden our heart to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. God’s Word also tells us that we are to bear one another’s burdens. We live in a world where the sinner needs salvation and the saints of God need encouragement. These are burdens we should bear. —Bob Cretney
